Series 2 was designed tapping into insights, feedback and the huge success of Series 1 of our Virtual Choral Celebration Festivals.
This implies for Series 2:
- The purpose is to bring choirs from around the world together to perform with each other in the same virtual festival to celebrate choral music – a unique opportunity that is offered by the Covid-19 pandemic
- The Festivals are designed to showcase specific categories of choirs to build new networks.
- We prefer virtual performances but performances not older than 12 months will be considered

Cut off for first round submissions will be Friday 24 July 2020
HOW TO BECOME PART OF THE FUN
- Select a virtual recoding of your choir or a performance not older than 12 months
- Make a phone recording of the Conductor introducing themselves, the choir and a message of Hope and peace. This should be submitted to the same email address.
- Provide the following in the body of the email for credit purposes:
Choir name
Conductor name
Country, Region and Town of origin
Name of the song and Conductor of the song that is performed.
Submit the YouTube link or send us the recoding along with requirements in Point 2. & 3. above via wetransfer to info@ccnf.co.za
Remember we can only accommodate a maximum of 10 songs per festival so do not delay – send your recording in ASAP. Looking forward to receiving your submission soon!
CATEGORIES
- Children’s Choir festival – Regional choirs with singers < 15 years of age
- Female choirs – singers >17 years
- Primary School Choirs – singers <13 years
- Male Choirs – singers >17 years
- High School Choirs – Singers – 14 – 18 years
- Girls choirs – Girls 13 – 18 years
- Chamber choirs – 12 – 40 singers & can include project choirs
- Boys choirs – Boys 13 – 18 years
- Traditional music/Folklore : Choirs of all age groups performing music indigenous to your region
- Youth Choirs – regional choir groups 13 – 19 years of age
- University choirs – Singers should be registered at a university
- Gospel Choirs – Choirs of any age groups that position themselves as Gospel choirs
- Mixed choirs – Any amount of singer older than 17 years of age
- Speciality choirs: Jazz, Pop, Acapella groups – Any age groups
- Special Festival Concert Choirs – selection based on feedback from audiences and CCNF team favourites
