South Africa is known as the Rainbow Nation and for the incredible diversity of its natural wildlife, specifically the big 5. This event aims to embrace both these key features of our beautiful country in this unique festival with a strong focus on:
•Engaging local choirs, who might not have the means to travel abroad, in an international choral experience.
•Introducing international choirs to the rural part of our country where they can experience the wildlife in a rural setting.
•Provide opportunities for local and international choirs to share the same experiences and form new friendships.
•Offer unique development opportunities that will create memories of a lifetime for each participant.
•Engage and form new networks with internationally acknowledged jurors to engage and share their expertise.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
"Most important aspect of choral singing is how people/ children/ youth/ adults become a community" ~Michael Griffin
"Can’t wait to be part of this incredible event in South Africa as a guest composer. The Choral Network Foundation, Director Alta Mare, invites to a unique and memorable experience. You will be part of the African Premiere of the World Choir for Peace under the baton of Nicol Matt, and sing my music as well as attend a session I’ll be holding for composers. I recommend checking this out as I think it will be amazing and life changing!" ~Kim Andre Arnesen (via Facebook)
